Week End

Just got home from a little trip to Acadia for two days.
With a few friends I went to some parties and hung out with lots of different people. It was a nice reassurance of the importance of music, laughter, and people (and not worrying too much about the harder things in life: essays, readings for lecture, money, etc). 

The music that is attached to the party life is constantly changing; it's opening up, both becoming stranger and also less strange. The right songs are always fitting though, they just know their place. In the end, it just makes me want to create music that people can get excited about together as soon as they hear that first note. You seem to get the best inspiration in the least expected places - maybe that's the point.
